MAIN FLOW BIOGRAPHY

Main Flow Biography

Jermaine Manley (born March 3rd, 1976), better known by his stage name Main Flow, is an American rapper, actor and entrepreneur from Cincinnati, Ohio. He rose to notoriety in the late 90's with his hip hop group, Mood.

Music Career:

Early Success
Super lyricists Main Flow and Dante combined to create the hip hop group Mood. Fueled by beats from legendary producer Hitek (who later signed with Dr Dre) the duo gained steam on the east coast. A young Talib Kweli reached out to them and eventually created an entire album together. Shortly after rejecting an offer from Queen Latifa's label Flavor Unit, Mood's Hustle On The Side music video was released, immediately making appearances on BET, MTV and Yahoo. The young duo continued gaining momentum after their next single Karma was released and they accepted a record deal from TVT Record Label CEO Steve Gotlieb. Just before Rob Dyrdek skyrocketed into the fame he was introduced to Main Flow by DJ Greyboy. After establishing the connection and signing with Dyrdek's label Main Flow made the move out to Southern California.

International Success
Main Flow has toured annually in Greece, Germany, France, Switzerland, Columbia and Venezuela, collaborating with top artists in each region.

2007-2017
After the release of his most successful album to date (Flow Season 2006) Main Flow took a few years away from writing as the declined standard in hip hop left him in disgust with the industry almost led to an early retirement. In Main Flow's brief absence from hip hop his vocals were still heard after being reused by top DJ's such as Diplo and Calvin Harris. His music has also been featured in two feature films and a national television commercial. He is currently resumed writing, recording and touring.
